Why is our coffee so good?
We buy our freshly roasted coffee every week from local specialty roastery, Olfactory.
The team at Olfactory focus on sustainable relationships with farmers, and extensively experiment, sample and profile roast so that the best flavour from every bean is obtained. Purchasing freshly roasted beans every week means there is no deterioration in flavours by the time the coffee is served.
We grind the beans to order.
Coffee beans have more flavour notes than wine, as soon as you grind them they start to lose flavour. We grind your beans right before we make your coffee, keeping all those lovely flavours for you to enjoy!
We use locally produced milk from Trewithen Dairy.
We believe that local milk from local cows just tastes better, perfectly frothed by our skilled baristas. As the temperature of the milk rises so the lactose becomes more soluble and the milk will taste sweeter, you may find you can forego your usual lump of sugar! (We also offer dairy-free alternatives.)
